Discover the incredible and heartwarming history of the Louisiana Orphan Train as we delve into the "Journey of Hope." Join us for an enlightening lecture, presented by the Louisiana Orphan Train Museum, that sheds light on the profound impact of this historical chapter, exploring the remarkable stories of those who experienced it firsthand. Between 1854 and 1929, several East Coast charity organizations transported about 200,000 children living on the streets of New York City to rural homes across America in what was known as the orphan train movement. We will learn about some of the children who were sent to Louisiana to escape extreme poverty, disease, and harsh working conditions. Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired.

This event is FREE and open to the public.
