Sensory Friendly Day at the Cabildo
Children with autism and developmental disabilities and their families are invited to the Louisiana State Museum to explore New Orleans history and culture through museum exhibits! On Saturday, November 5, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., the Cabildo will close to the public to minimize crowds and exhibit noises. Trained educators and volunteers will help lead drop-in art activities and exploration of the exhibition We Love You, New Orleans. Participants will also hear traditional New Orleans music from a brass band and learn more about the instruments they use. Come create, dance, sing, and celebrate together. This program is free for the whole family, but registration is required. Please register here: https://forms.gle/U4u4Umwj4DYdHMk7A
This program is offered in partnership with the Louisiana Museum Foundation and made possible with generous support from First Horizon Bank. For more information about this program, please contact Director of Education, Sara Lowenburg, at [email protected] or (504) 568-6980.
